  1. Double Die

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

Going through some foreign silver and came across this one. First of all it is rotated 180 degrees as it is supposed to be US oriented but is medal oriented. Secondly, all the outer devices definitely look doubled at least? There's a lot of extra thickness on all of it. Could it possibly be an overdate as well? I cannot find any good information to compare it to, so any help would be appreciated. 20221103_090601.jpg 20221103_093529.jpg 20221103_092445.jpg 20221103_092412.jpg 20221103_092431.jpg 20221103_092332.jpg 20221103_092339.jpg 20221103_092603.jpg 20221103_092545.jpg

KM#403.7 overdate varieties do exist among the 100,000 struck at Mexico mint that year. Use the KM ref to try to find more info and how to spot if you have one.
The rest seems to be the results of an extremely worn die.

It's an HoA KM#403.6 and it doesn't show how many were minted or any varieties on Numista. That's why I'm being stumped.

Apologies. All my Mexican coins are from Mexico mint, second nature to look for those only.

I think no overdate. Probably not doubling, just the letters get a little wider looking from wear. I could be wrong. Here is my 1883, much more wear but the legend letters look "fatter"... DSCN4893~2.JPG DSCN4892~2.JPG
