Toning Question

    So you're saying that you know the owner, and you know that he AT'd them - is that correct ?


    Well, that really doesn't prove anything. There are plenty of coins out there that are not known for being found nicely toned. But every now and then, one is found.

    Actually I'd say the chances are far better than somebody winning the lottery - yet somebody always wins it.

    There are literally thousands and thousands of coins out there with the same colors and same basic toning pattern. Yet the only time anyone questions them being natural is when they see several of them together.

    Well suppose, just suppose that somebody took the time to put together a collection like that. It does happen.

    Now other than your first comment, and I can't say much about that one, but the other two are basically meaningless and don't prove a thing.

    i cant say that im friends with him, but yes i do recognize the coins before because of the contact marks in the same spots.

    I believe I recognize those coins (from TCCS?). I agree with your assessment, and incidentally, none of them have Wayte Raymond toning....Mike
