This coin is gorgeous! I purchased it somewhat recently, but only just took pictures of it. It's about the size of a US quarter (for reference), but it is so deeply mirrored prooflike that you could shave in it. The cameo contrast is incredible. This is from Anhalt-Bernburg, one of the many German states. It is graded NGC MS-64 PL. I love the bear walking on the wall, and how they used different patterns to create a textured feeling. One of my new favorite coins!
A beautiful example from Berlin mint. I think they only produced 50K or so if memory serves. Nice pick up and thanks for sharing
I dont but I love anything Thaler from German States and read up on them whenever I see one. I remember seeing an example of yours when I was in Heidelburg with my wife two years ago, made a note of it and looked into it when we got back.
I got this one last week. Mine isn't prooflike but it is in pretty nice shape. I collect bear coins and I wanted a nice example from Anhalt-Bernburg. This is the thaler.
