Today I found another mismatched serial number. It has the same prefix as the other $20's I've found but this one has three digits wrong. In the last year, I've found six mismatched serial numbers bills. Three $20's, one $10 and two $5.
I'm just guessin' here but I think that because Canada is going to be issuing polymer bills in 2011, the production technology would be different, so why invest money in repairs and maintenance of old equipment when it's all going to change in a year or so. Or.....it could just be someone not doing their job properly.
Ahh, I am really not liking being stuck here in the states for university. I guess I'll have to search a ton of straps over the summertime because I want one of these errors soooooooo bad lol! Congrats on your finds!!!
Catalog value for uncirculated is $650 and goes up or down from there. I say up or down because condition plays a role, lessening the price but I've sold one for more than catalog value because the buyer kept upping his offer until I finally broke down and accepted it. I've only sold one of my currency errors. Since then I've found seven more.
