I've got a few bills that have the signature of the Treasurer and the Secretary of the Treasury oversigned by the actual office holder. Are these really valuable? My dad got them for me in the mid 80's. I think some of these people might be deceased.

Here's one I have signed by Angela 'Bay' Buchanan. My father's company did some work over at the Treasury during the Reagan administration. He had a biz meeting with her, and as a courtesy, she swapped an autographed note with him for one from his pocket.

Given its low serial number, the last estimate I got for it was around US $75.

These sound pretty cool, do you have any images?

Without images, all that can be said is they are worth face value, and most probably, they are worth more than face value.

Do you know if any of your notes are signed *star* notes? Star notes and most other $1 FRNs from the 1980s (dependent upon condition per usual) will have greater than face value. Typical ChCU values might range from $4- $20. IF you have the 1985 $1 FRN Star note with Ortega | Baker signatures (F-1913H*) that would probably be worth significant money! I don't know what the value would be like if signed but if that note were signed or not I'd consider getting it TPG graded as it's one of the rarest $1 FRNs I know of and carries a huge premium.

I forgot to mention some of them are consecutive serial numbers. I know I have some Series 1988A that are signed by both and are consecutive. I guess I should have made an inventory before storing.

Yeah, thats what I see them estimated around $100-140.it also depends on if someone is interested in buying it for that price,I have seen them sell lower. It is considered "courtesy Signed" I think their neat.

I concur. For this purpose as well as others, as a practice, I document everything (specs, diags, attribs, photos) when it comes in the door, and then it immediately goes back out the door to the safe deposit box.

I don't like it because I don't want to hand over ownership of my images, even if my images indeed aren't all that! Too much of that going on, on the 'net in my opinion today.
