What's going on with this cert number?

So I spotted this roosevelt dime on this auction.
385200684184
Thought I would look it up to see what it is worth. It comes back as a 1925 quarter, ms63. Unless I typed something wrong and my eyes are now deceiving me? Why would you fake this holder?

Many times there are problems with the cert verification on the OGH's

 

I've run into this before where the database is just messed up. A call or email to the TPG will get them to look into it. I had this on a coin in a GC auction, emailed them about it and they contacted the TPG and had it corrected.

 

It is known to happen occasionally on older holders. PCGS might be able to fix it or will recommend to send the coin back to them to reholder (which is a shame when you have to destroy the old holder but might be the only option).

 

I have seen this on older certs as well.

 

Its not the same cert with the 0 in front of it

 

Could be the certs got swapped. Check the numbers below and above...

 

I didn't add the zero. When you enter the 7 digit cert it comes up with the zero before it

If your key is numeric, those are equivalent.

Since cert# can now have 8 digits they are choosing to display them that way.
