    Looking for photos to use in the 3rd edition of my book. Must be HD

    Must be YOUR PHOTOS, not simply those you found online belonging to someone else.

    Thanks.

    How about a separated half of a clamshell split?

    I think the other half is dated 1894 . . . :rolleyes:

    Well, specifically looking for one that is partially split yet still attached like an open clam.

    I've seen one that was barely attached . . . perhaps bonded only 10 - 15%, and the halves had not been damaged at all . . . quite a rarity to find one like that undamaged. I think that was a clad coin though.

    No silver. Just a clad clamshell.

    @JCro57
    I imagine that what you're seeking for is on a 40% silver coin.

    That might be super tough to find. Good luck

    Pretty sure I can see that 1894 on the obverse. I have to squint a bit, and I may or may not have consumed large quantities of bourbon... but, I think I see it there!

    Joe, have you tried Jon Sullivan?

    Nope. A silver alloy coin. Not a silver clad
