1937D Buffalo Nickel SD or DD?

    Is the doubling on this coin a strike or a die? A little confused about the difference.

    strike doubling.Strike doubling can resemble die doubling,until you get a closer look.Strike doubling can result from the coin slightly shifting on the second strike.Die doubling,is created from the die itself having doubling on it.

    So which is it SD or DD?

    looks like SD,I dont recall at the moment any DD for that year that are on the date.Most of the DD buffalo's are on the reverse,with a few on the obverse that are in the nickel area.
