1934D Buffalo Nickel DDO

Ok, here's a better shot I hope...:kewl: Mentioned earlier I have not been able too find any info on this variety.

Sorry I can't see the DDO from these shots. I did check Lange's Complete Guide to Buffalo Nickels and he mentions only two minor DDR varieties.

However, then I checked Wexler, Pope and Flynn's Authoritative Reference on Buffalo Nickels, which is the ultimate reference on Buffalo varieties. It lists a DDO-001 which should show doubling on the "9" and to a lesser extent the "1". It also lists as die markers "several die scratches to the left of the 1. Die scratch below the 934."
