    What happened to the l in Liberty? Grease filled? Over polished ? Environmental....

    It looks like that "L" took a hit and got moved a little bit. IMO.

    I can't argue what this is but there was a thread about this look. It's been a while but folks were saying it was caused by a worn out hub or die.

    A worn die will make/allow the L to disappear. The L on your coin has been pushed to the right due to contact with what I suspect was the edge of another coin.
