GTG 1943 Walker

    The thumb and hand is much more complete on this one than the 45. I really can't tell if the high points are worn or just incomplete.

    It is incredible how absolutely different those three sets of images are. I know it's the same coin, but it sure doesn't look like it.

    If I bought a coin from the first set of images, and the coin looked more like the second set... I'd be kinda upset.

    In your opinion, with the coin in hand, which set of images comes closest to the actual appearance of the coin?

    The first set for sure. Some of messydesk great work. The second set are way too warm, not my work. The third set are the dealers images back in 2009. You know me, I bought it for the color. Today I worry the coin will darken more over the years.

    Sir Messy takes some really nice photos, for sure.

    As long as you're storing it in a safe environment away from major contaminants, the toning is probably quite stable. Being in an NGC slab goes a long way to protecting it as well.
