Picked this small herd today <$50. The 35 D has carbon spots. For the grade and price I'm very happy, the 35 D will be replaced in the future.
I wasnt in the market for this. But just happened to see it in a pure auction from an Ebay seller that I follow. $29 delivered Not exactly certain if this is nice way of saying “details”. Although nothing is standing out yet. There is some subtle luster shining through. I was thinking about busting her out and giving her an acetone soak:
2023 Britannia. Supposedly the last with the queen. Too much at $34 but I like it (until Daddy takes the car keys away.)
I got my wife keeping an eye out for me. and she snatched this 1896 o Morgan up for 12 dollars!!great steal especially.with Morgan prices these days. And at first I was thinking it's to good to be true probably fake but it passes all the test. I gotta love when old antique places don't really check the values
100%. I broke her out to get a better look and she was absolutely coated in verdigris and corrosion. But, it gave me a chance to play with some VerdiCare and ConServe.
You paid under melt. Can't beat that. Found a heavily worn, dirty 1852/1 Guanajuato (I think) 2 Reales in a 50 cent bin at the show I went to last weekend. Was in with British pennies, 10 centimes, etc so dealer must have thought it was a copper coin. I bought a couple other things at the same table and the dealer threw it in for free. Hey, it's got four bucks worth of silver in it.
