Finally got around to pulling the coins off the board they were glued to and gave them an acetone bath. All have toned on the obverse (side glued) and the 10 Dinars had the only obverse showing so they used a 1978 instead. I like the 5 and 10 Para coins the most. The 1 and 5 dinar look like they lost luster in the denomination or reverse which was showing.
Well done. What a fantastic presentation, beautiful coins. Check out this 5 Dinara. I still can't believe how it came into my possession, in a bag of halves...
Yep, it was dater 1978 and they must have just grabbed one thinking no one would remove it from the set.
Lol, I didn't notice it until you said. But you're right, the way it was glued on one would assume it was a 1981. But that must explain it, they didn't have a 1981. And who in their right mind is going to rip the coins off the cardboard and find out they were cheated by the Yugoslavia Mint out of a 1981 10 Dinara, lol? But that probably explains their thinking, they thought they'd get away with it, how funny. Busted!
