Does anyone know of dealer(s) who have Danish coinage of this era? Preferably those who have some sort of online store presence... Thanks, CheetahCats
I like an old Danish coins too. But it"s rather rare coins. I searching them durind a several years.:headbang::smile
CheetahCats, try MA Shops (a european/german version of VCOINs), with many EU dealers grouped in one portal. http://www.ma-shops.com/shops/searc...enemark&branche=1&submitBtn=Find&sindsvalue=0 Type in "DAENEMARK". I got many hits. There has got to be somethoing there for you. Good luck.
I found what I was looking for. A dealer out of Norway who seems to have rather fair prices considering the evasiveness of the particular specimen I've been looking for. Put-in and paid for the order this morning I'm looking forward to posting it once received. It will be another addition to my "Coinage for Colonial Virginia" collection Now, just have to keep my impatience in check while hot ash continues to spew across northern Europe and clog-up pond postal services...
It is a 1785 Christian VII 2 Skilling. One specimen of this type was found during the restoration of Colonial Williamsburg. Hence my reference about adding it to to my "Coinage in Colonial Virginia" collection Once I receive the specimen, I'll post photos.
