The other white silver....kinda like the other white meat, but tastier.

Look at what just arrived today. This is the first part of a 2 part Christmas gift for my mom. Of course the actual presentation will be much nicer than this....but I couldn't wait to show it off. It is so unusual, 1/3 ounce platinum.

It is going to be presented together with a 2023 limited edition Queen portrait silver Britannia. My mom was a big fan of the Queen so I think she'll enjoy them.

So yeah, there's silver, the white metal everyone loves, and platinum, the other white metal (but tastier I think). It's a figure of speech, don't actually go out and try and swallow platinum.

Yeah, I still have my corn cob, still enjoying it. Left ancient coins behind though. These days I'm mostly collecting modern bullion, and 20th and 19th century gold coins (US, European, and Latin America ). Still coin related, just more modern and much more yellow and shinny.

Platinum is even more special when you pick it up.
