Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted anything here mostly because I really haven't came across anything interesting lately.

I threw this under the scope today to get a better look at a rim connected die crack on the reverse but when I checked the obverse I noticed this spot between the "I" and "B" of liberty.

There is an exaggerated incused X shaped gouge but it's partially covered by what looks like possibly a broken piece of the design element from the die that is in relief.

All I can come up with is it's caused from a portion of the die design element from the "I" that separated.

Let me know what you think and if I'm completely off on my guess. Thanks

Maybe a strike thru or Maybe a die gouge.
    Neat die marker.

Yeah it's odd but I can't find any other examples online. I can find several of the reverse die crack with the same DDD of the lettering between 11 and 1 and radial flow lines but not a single one has any type of progressive or persistent mark on the obverse between the "I" & "B" :watching::banghead:

Die clash, or just took a very accurate PMD strike somehow.
