I want to make a purchase today, but can't decide what to get. I really like this quarter though.

The coin looks to me like an MS-65 maybe if the luster is sharp(the scan does not show it !) a 66. nice looking coin!!

If it has full luster it should easily be MS66 or better. I see no visible marks and the fields are beautiful.

If that is wear on the cheek and temple area it should be AU58 with no problem.

In any case... if the asking price is in line with the actual grade, I'd buy it in a second. That's a mighty fine looking coin. :)

    SuperDave,

Go ahead and climb... by the time you get down the other side, I'll have the coin and be running like a crazy man! :D

    Zaneman,

I think I have the Brother (or a close relative) to that coin...

    Hi,
That is one of the nicest Barber quarters that I've ever seen! Of course, it is difficult to be 100% certain in the scan if the coin is UNC. It looks like it is to me. If so MS-66 or better. Its a knockout!!

If that's the quarter on Ebay, it's over $400 with an hour left. I don't want that coin $400 bad.

Edit: That seller has some *nice* coins for sale.

I could easily be wrong since all I have is the pic to go by - but I think somebody "worked" on that coin. The bust is just too shiny - doesn't match the rest of the coin at all IMO.
