Only a week away from availability, I'm considering buying these from the mint. I didn't start collecting until well after the State quarters were in full gear and I feel like I missed out on the experience. Not sure how much I'm going to be spending but I'll be getting all the states on my own this time around. I won't be buying them off internet sites for 75 cents each in order to put in my collection book.
shoot! and i was gonna offer them to you for just .74¢ each with free s/h. :crying: Any idea if will there be silver proof and clad proof sets of just the park quarters released later from the Mint in addition to the big honkin' 5 oz. silver versions and regular 2010 Proof sets?
Yes I thought they were going to have them in silver within the annual silver set and proofs in the annual proof set. If I could get my hands on one of those honkin' 5 ounce quarters, I would too.
I am confused. You want to buy them from the mint, but you don't want to buy them on the internet for 75 cents each? Isn't the mint going to charge you more than 75 cents each? The mint sells $1 worth of Lincoln Shield cents for $8.95. My guess is there will be a big markup on the quarters as well, no?
I am wondering if purchasing the 2-roll sets from the mint is a good idea. It may be limited mintage on these and even harder to get in circulation than the 2009 territorial quarters. TC
