Here is a 2015 Cud that a fellow CT'er sent me. Thanks @Wal888 This one has a nice looking cud at 1-2 oclock. There are also many small die chips. At 6 oclock there is a split in the rim. possibly part of a retained cud. I wonder if there are any examples out there of a larger cud. Post any cuds you have.
I've never ever found a coin with a cud on it. Out of thousands of dollars of rolls and bags hunting I found quite a few neat errors...but not 1 cud. I do have a neat FEC with a cud I need to pull and image to post.
I like you @Paddy54 have never found one in the wild. And I have been known to handle a good 2-3 bucks in miscellaneous change a day.
Yes! It's the plate coin for CU-1c-1872-02R on cuds-on-coins. I think I have 4 discovery IHCs on that site.
Cool bean I dont have any on that site but about a dozen +/- myself on other sites. Wanted to know as I tried but you images were not clear enough for me to see.
Hey @Gorham_Collector Not trying to kick a cool coin at all. A cud has to cross the rim. It looks like you have an extremely large IDB. It may have turned into a cud some strikes later.
