Well it keeps getting a bit better...

Let's recap...put scan on photobucket then post here as long as it is 300x200 or less right?
Then why does it stay so small?

Duke here is what i do to get the picture larger. I take the picture from my camera and save it to my desktop, from there I enlarge the picture copy it to PAINT then save it. From there, I copy it to photobucket... I never worried about the size of what you mentioned.
for me it just takes a little longer for it to posted on this site..that is all.

    hope that helps.

I'm using Photobucket MPC and it does not kick butt for me...

Let me try another note and see without making it smaller.

Now what is the holes stamped in that note in the spanish word shape for?

    Duke -

Can you submit another scan of the note? If one clicks on the note, the images are very tiny.

    Thanks,

Unfortunately your images aren't any better. Can I assume that you don't have a scanner?

Can you provide dates for both notes?

Please see attached URL for a specimen that I believe matches your 10 peso note:
    http://new.lynknight.com/ShowAuctionDetails.Asp?auction_Id=137740

And this is the link for what I believe is your 20 peso note:
    http://cgi.ebay.ca/GOBIERNO-CONSTITUCIONALISTA-DE-MEXICO-28-MAY-1913-X-FNE_W0QQitemZ110418933593QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19b57b3759

Please advise if indeed these are your notes.

    Yep Cheetah!!
Thanks a bunch. The 10 peso that the link is from is a specimen but mine is not and mine has dozens of little holes spelling a spanish words I think. Do you know what that's about? Were these cancelled at some point?

And there's another note up above that's a 50peso 1914 I can't find either. It's in real great shape too.

Oh and yes I have a scanner that's how I got these pictures.
    1. scanned them
    2. downloaded to Photobucket
    3. rotated
4 and 5. tried resizing to 300x200 and also tried leaving the size it was
5 attached to CT with "little" luck (pun intended)

Duke, not sure if you will find any info here or not, but it's a nice site on Mexican Banknotes: Mexican Paper Money

I've also been interested in seeing what's inside this Mexican Paper Money 2010 Edition book. Anyone have it? Recommended? It's quite pricey.

The word in perforations looks like "amordazado" or "amorduzado" which comes up in translation from Spanish as "self-censored, muzzled". Maybe an expert on Spanish can illuminate.

Try this (if you're not sick and tired at this point)

    1. Scan
    2. Resize to 800 wide (300 is tiny)
    3. Attach them to the CT post directly via "manage attachments" when you post.
    4. Enjoy

Punched holes probably either means they are specimen notes (would be nice to know what the letters say), or as you say the notes were canceled.

I'll try that for the link. Thanks

As for the first note it's the very first post of this thread...it's a 1914 $50 peso looks like julio 25th de 1914 :D and reads"

"Obligarion Provisional del Erario Federal" and "La Tesoreria de la Federacion pagara at portador"
