Well was getting ready to go to bed but decided to check the new listings one last time and this puppy popped up not an hour old and selling at list (List or under always makes me happy lol) I Thank every one of you who helped talk me into passing on the previous 2... Watcha think (grade and opinion) Again Thank You all very much for the previous opinions!! (see I do listen sometimes)
Spectacular @mrweaseluv coin there Boss!! How much did she cost you this time, huh? I'm going with Mint state but did you really pay $80 or more??
Hard to say from these photos. From your previous thread, I assume this is circulated, but the photos are too harshly lit for me to make out high-point rub. I'm also assuming that the scratching and scuffs are more prominent here than they would be in-hand. It kinda looks like the coin was dipped and has started to re-tone, but in a much more attractive way than the two from the other thread. It might be harshly cleaned like @ldhair and @Paddy54 say, but again, I can't be sure from these photos. I don't think it's a proof, the rims don't look square enough to me. I'm pretty sure you'll be happier with this one than with the other two!
Stuff sneaks up on you, doesn't it? One minute you're sitting there thinking "man, I don't think it's doing anything at all", and the next minute you're seeing nointicstions.
Much nicer eye appeal than the other two @mrweaseluv good job waiting for the right coin. In all fairness, I was also going to say dipped and cleaned. How's that for implicating myself without having to? I think you're going to enjoy this coin infinitely more than the other two eye sores. I thought low MS, but certainly no indication of a PF strike.
That coin does not look like a straight-graded coin, based on those photos. It was a lucky AU58, as it has an obvious look of having been cleaned. Oh well.
Given the slab reveal, I'm going with "those photos didn't do it any favors". And any time you blow up a dime photo large enough to see, you're also blowing up any hits or scuffs.
