This is my initial plunge into gold. It was so easy, because it was so cheap. I've never thought of gold as within my reach, but couldn't walk away from these. Big question: Do the plastic sleeves protect, or are they any danger to these coins? After 36 years, I would expect to see evidence of outgassing on the coin, if it were gonna happen. But gold is new to me, so I ask. Given my 'druthers, I'd leave 'em just as found. Any comments on the plastic issue, and on the set itself, will be appreciated.
