    Thank you so much for the contest Dwhiz!

    The following is a 10oz British coin called "Valiant". 2018 was the first year and the design was changed after that because some people complained that they couldn't read the text on the obverse. The following years the text was clear but the coin was not half as nice.

    Speaking of Columbus Day, how did we come to celebrate a guy who got lost while looking for a shortcut? ;)

    Thank you dwiz for the nice contest. We occasionally go to the big city to visit a nice coin shop, go to the used book store, and eat out for lunch. Since my birthday was approaching, we recently used that as an excuse. My wife got me this shield nickel for my present, and we also found a few books as well. It was definitely a win/win situation.

    I think I'm the first to quote this, thanks for the opportunity. I'm 17, so my last year I have to get any YN privileges.
    Since this is a Columbus day contest, here's my Columbus half dollar, which I paid nearly double for but hey, it's a nice coin! Thanks for the contest!
