I see a floating roof. But What I can see is no Fg. My coin has very visibility. Similar to PCGS Screenshot_20221001-104217_Chrome.jpg . Is there any value for this variety? 20221001_103641.jpg 20221001_103641.jpg 20221001_10_32_06.png 20221001_10_31_57.png 20221001_10_31_51.png 20221001_103804.jpg

In your close ups (the blue ones) the roof supports are barely visible, but they are there. Same for the FG. The die polishing that causes this is evident on your coin. If there is a premium for this, I haven't a clue. As there would have been any number of coins struck after the die polishing, I personally wouldn't pay extra.

As mentioned "floating roofs" are the outcome of Die Polishing, which is a common die maintenance routine to extend the die's usage lifespan. This polishing removes surface imperfections by polishing it out; it also removes fine design details.

The thin details of the roof support are polished away, as is a thin layer of the entire surface as it is smoothed out. Having weakness or non-existent FG is common due to the die surface polishing.

Die polishing, by it having a smooth surface reduces friction which helps the metal flow and distribute or stretch to fill in the dies cavities. Thus it aids in prolonging tool life and reducing replacements.

I have seen my share of 69 D's in circulation over the years but I have never seen a coin of this year and MM that hasn't taken such a beating also. Very difficult to find one in circulation that ends up being worth saving. But that's just my observation and experience.
