Dated 1877-CC makes this a Variety 4 Resumed with the weight of Variety 5. Only 1,420,000 were minted. She has some wear but she’s still nice and not damaged.
Really digging your coin. I have several CC dimes and a CC quarter (plus a scarce CC quarter that I have since sold) but do not have the half dollar.
I only have a few CC dimes. I bought this one 30 years ago as cleaned and damaged. The doubled die reverse made me want it. It was a nice looking coin when I bought it but time and the slab turned it pretty ugly.
I can’t say much about the reverse but that really looks neat on the obverse. It’s like Liberty is surrounded by darkness as the sun is setting.
This is my 1876-CC quarter. Although it is bent and the surfaces are a bit rough it has VF sharpness and cost me AG-G money. Personally I like it a lot.
