It's 14mm in diameter and extremely thin. I don't have scales delicate enough to weigh it.

I'm new to this so please understand if this is a common coin or easily recognised. My ignorance is innocent.

That is an Irish Richmond or Maltravers type farthing of Charles I dating from between 1624-1649 (someone with more experiance may be able to narrow that down a bit more)....

Thank you for your reply. From your information i have found the coin on aboutfarthing.co.uk.

Looks like a Rose Farthing dated between 1636-1644.

    Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I got it slightly wrong in that the rose farthing is the english type. Although both would have circulated in either country at the same time... Oh well, glad you found the information useful....

I have a small piece of paper saying that this coin is swiss but i can't find too much more on it. Any help will be much appreciated.
(excuse the quality of photo, the coin is very dark)

That double-headed eagle on the obverse makes it look Holy-Roman Empire-ry, and it looks medieval or as late as 17th century. Again, I'm not an expert, but if no one else can help, that might set you off in the right direction.....

Thanks for the info on that schilling.

I have another strange looking coin here. Looks very rough and i kind of dismissed it as a forgery to begin with but i guess it's worth looking at.

    Edit: 35mm diameter 2mm thick

Looks like a George III penny, the "CE"'s on the obverse are of course added counter marks of some type.
