Was shopping a bit for my 19th century type set, coins I already have in the full type set but are dated 1900 or later so need to get earlier "replacements" for new set In this case, I just really liked this coin (enough to pay list price) Then again, I'm not sure I agree with the grade on the slab lol... but enough said for now.. here she is...
I went AU-50 based on the second set of photos which show a hint of luster in certain areas of the fields Obv. and Rev. with little wear throughout. I like it!!
I went XF46 because I couldn't tell between XF45 and AU50. The feather tips are fairly worn. I can't see much of any luster in the photos.
45 but a TPG grade of 53 wouldn't surprise me which is how I voted. It's a weak strike which accounts for most of the appearance of the feathers, although there is wear there.
