Nope no reason to,nothing special, common date.Still is around a few bucks of silver and that's all it has going for it.
Ok, with that being said, let's just say I want to clean it just to look better for my own satisfaction, what would I clean it with?
Start with soap and water…. But don’t do that with any valuable coins. If soap and water doesn’t loosen the spunge I bet acetone would…… Now watch me get paddled for suggesting that you use soap and water on that dime.
Lol. Maybe not If so I'll try to defend you, since you are nice enough to suggest. Hold on I'll get my cat and he'll have our backshe has a blackbelt in scratch-a-ratie
Best not to clean it. It’s a very common date and it’s worth junk silver pricing. If you clean it, it won’t change a thing but it will always be a damaged coin from the cleaning. Any rubbing you do will dhow on the coin. I understand your desire to have a nicer looking coin but if you leave it as is you will always be remembering just how you found it.
And make sure we listen to our mothers and scrub behind the ears, a lot of people who clean coins tend to forget that. In this case we only got one ear, so it takes half the time, so there are no excuses for not doing it.
