I've always collected silver, but the cheap stuff on ebay has been far and few between lately.

Lincoln cent collecting has never interested me until I read all the stuff you guys say about it. I just bought my first...a 1909, looks vg for 2.31 for everything.

I don't know what my cent is worth...I don't care. I just want to be convinced that Lincoln cent collecting will be as enjoyable for me as it is for you.

I collect Lincoln Cents and I have all the cents from 1939-2009 and many from 1909-1938 and I have a few from 1858-1909, it is a nice set to complete and I recommend you do it.

I am not sure just what you want me to say or do, but take a look at some of my albums. Maybe that is what you are looking for.

Lincoln cent collecting is by far my favorite thing to do. I have all of them from 1934-2010 and plenty from 1909-1933 (every year except 31, 32and maybe 30 dont have album with me at the moment). I have always like the design for some reason and Lincoln is my favorite president (along with kennedy). Don't know how to convince you but you definately should start.

The Lincoln's do look nice, and my daughter likes them. Maybe we'll give it a try. Thanks a lot.

    Hello everyone,

Lincoln Cents for me where the easiest coins to collect, as most of them are easily obtainable, at low prices, and high grades.

It is a fun set as well as the longest running. i like it not just for the price but the history of it. I think of what was happening in 1909 when it first came out. The Mint has been making Lincoln cents through two world wars, and I also think of what Lincoln did for this great country. How close the south was to winning, most are not even aware.

For me it is a historic set, and one that I do hope we will continue for many years to come.

BTW I just watched disc 4 of ken Burns Civil War, so this is a great subject. Hopefully I will be watching the conclusion this weekend, just have to wait for netflicks  If you have not seen this series by Ken Burns, and like Lincoln, I highly recommend it.

    Regards,
    Stan
