Waffle Penny

So I received one of these in change and held on to it. Looks weird. I call it the waffle penny. Probably got ran over by something. Any ideas lol?

Yeah it was kinda neat. It's split perfectly down the middle. Might be a meat hammer, GD!

 

Someone is working on a prototype of the World's smallest waffle iron.

 

Looks like it was put in a small vice and cranked down pretty good. Or not.

I dunno, I think somebody stuck it in one of those 'Big Boss Grills' for a couple hours.
Im really starting to think somebody put it in a vice, and then hammered the crap out of the handle. I know ive done that as a kid before.
