Shift errors are somewhat common, but how often do you find one on a star note ?? I picked this up on an online auction will get better pics when it arrives !! I'm pretty excited about it since this is the only pic that was up on site !! I want this one in hand !! What do you guys think ??
I believe all error notes are based on eye appeal. That shift is pretty neat. Here is another type of star error that just goes BANG -
I have no knowledge of FBN so take this for what it's worth. My concern would be that crease running veritical along that bill and wonder if there is another one (s) like it. I hope its worth it and think it is great note. Is there a reason why that "7" is bold when comparing it to the rest of the serial number and is that common? Congratz on the find! -Shrek
Finally showed up and better than I expected !! This is the only shift error star I personally have ever seen !!
Thats got to be worth a small fortune. What have you found out? I paid $75 for the star gutter above. I have another 20 or so in my collection. I used to be heavily into star errors. There was a time that market was white hot but it cooled way down. I stopped buying when prices went high but now that they have leveled off I may jump back in. I think the coolest star I have ever owned was a star inverted third print. I was offered stupid money so its gone.
Not alot really, but I stuck it on the bay with a crazy BIN price w/best offers !! We'll see what happens !!
Congrats on the fine pickup! I'm glad to finally see the whole note in its entirety. I guess shift-happens even amongst the stars
I'll say! Good luck with the listing. :thumb: If it doesn't sell are you considering to have it graded?
If you are an ANA member you can submit to PMG as an associate member or find a dealer or group that submits together.
Good luck with the ebay sale but that note is not worth more than $50-$75. I hope some newbie doesnt get burned.
