look and discover by looking your money everyday before you spend it. someday, you too can discover coins that you like. before i was able to find some kennedy half dollars in 90% silver and 40% silver. washington silver quarter dated 1964. nickel dated 1940's, wheat cents. paper money date 1960's.
discover you can search the rolls from the bank or try to change rolls from casino. otherwise, just keep looking your pocket change. who knows, you can find some.
look before you spent yes, i did, i look everytime i spent. if i find one, i let my husband see it too.
Hi, Need you ask? I actually figure out ways to get more change when I spend so that I have more to look through Have Fun, Bill
I work as a cashier and I always check all the drawers to see if there is anything worth keeping. I've pulled over 100 2004-2005 nickles. I have gotten quite a few wheaties, oldest one was a 1917-d. I also pull odd bills like $2 bills, star notes and older notes if I can find them. I also pull halfs and dollars, best one so far was a 2005-p kennedy. I have also found 3 silver washingtons.
aha! So thats where all the collectable coins are going, its all the clerks who are coin collectors. That must be why I have never seen a buffalo nickel and only recently seen a mercury. I should get a job as a clerk
At Northern Arizona University, if you put in a dollar bill and push coin return, you get either Sacajaweas or Susie Bs. The last time I did it, I got 3 almost BU 1999 Susan Bs. A very nice addition to my collection for only 3 dollars
I use plastic coin tubes and coin trays like you see at the bank teller windows. takes me about 10 minutes to count a coin jar. Rick
discovery today, i went to a bank to change $40.00 or four rolls of quarter for my laundry use. when i open the first roll. it was all brand new coin for one single design. and i check the other three rolls. the same brand new coins came out. as i read the paper roll. it wrote its state name on it. four rolls as follows. 1999 ct, 2000 va, 2000 ma, 2000 md. that's mean a person hoard these coins for more than five years. disposed it and returned them to the bank. it should be more than four rolls. i thought of returning to that bank to change more. but the weather is quite cold. so forget it. after all, sooner or later, many people will start to use those brand new coins. now i only want to search for new nickels. so far, it's hard to find one.
pocket change I would like to find some of those early state Quarter rolls. I started collecting them to late , so my unc quarters start with the 04's. :smile
