What do you think will happen with the prices of the US Mints Peace Medal 2 roll sets? I see people are getting around $70 a set for them. I'm worried that in time they will go down in price. I have some unopened sets and I'm debating whether I should sell them now or hold on to them. I originally bought them with the idea of holding on to them for a long time. But after thinking about it maybe I could sell these and buy something else that would be more interesting to me. Decisions, decisions.

That is THE question isn't it?? When to sell & what to buy?
The only thing can tell you is go with your gut.
If it were me...I think I would sell now, just to many minted to sustain that price.
    But...I've been wrong before...ALOT

I see that the price has settled in the $70 dollar range on e-bay and I have several sets as well. If you're looking to buy low and sell high then this is probably the time to unload. At a cost of $8.95 from the mint plus their nominal fee for shipping, a rise of 700% is not exactly "chump change" when you look at all other investments for the same time period. In my opinion you have to look at why you bought the coins in the first place. On my purchase from the mint I opened one box and simply enjoyed the coins and made it part of the collection I now have to look at now and again to enjoy. The rest are in the vault for the kids and grandkids and they can decide what to do. It appears that the price has stabilized and if you're looking to "cash out" I would say the time is now, or as they say "take the money and run". But would I have listened to that about 3 years ago about my Intel stock?

    #2 40.00
    #3 25.01

    Bank Rolled Sets #1 25.00

oh I'll probably feel fine, I bought them because I wanted a stash of them, not because I was going to resell them.. :)

I disagree. I keep saying the 1999 silver proof sets are going to go down in price and the opposite is happening. They keep rising.

    HI NICK
Yes you are right about the1999 silver proofs ,but the nickels I just don't think so.the 1999 silver proof will stay up there for a long time now that is one set I should have got a hold of.
