There are some collectors of Canadian coins here on CT. I however am not one of them. Since Canada is not part of the US you should probably have posted this thread under World coins for better results.
I 'would" have been interested but I just completed my Canada Half Dollar collection earlier this year. And I'm nearly caught up to date on dimes, nickels and quarters.
Yes, I do (or did) collect Canadian coins, starting in the 1980's up until the turn of the century, mostly modern silver. Once the RCM got wacko with the number of annual releases, I quit. But I have a number of very nice proof silver dollars, quarters, and the like. Many of the Canadian issues have wonderful designs. I used to visit Canada a lot, so I also have a lot of circulated change which I don't count. Except when I need a beverage in Toronto.
I have a complete circulated set including the maritime provinces with the exception of a couple silver dollars and some of the varieties. I do have the newfy 1946 5 cent in VF with a mintage of only 2041 coins. Nearly all of the album holes are filled. I also have quite a few different colonial tokens.
I have a complete set of Canadian Large Cents and now working on small cents and the silver dollars. I'll branch out again after the small cent set is complete
Looks like all of the half dollars are 68 or later, so not silver. I'd recommend using numista to check for possible varieties but other than that, nothing too special. Maybe a dollar each if someone is trying to find that date. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces305.html
