Let’s See Your Pocket Pieces

I like the new quarter design a lot! I thought it would be interesting to carry the proof version around in my pocket and see how it wears over the years.
I’ll be carrying it around with the morgan I’ve been carrying for a couple years.

I've never thought of a pocket piece. I'm a pocket emptier though. As soon as a get home, everything comes out of the pockets, on to my area of the table in the mud room, where i can remember exactly where i put everything! So I'm not sure I'd enjoy something in my pocket, heavy like the Morgan, while out, doing things. But more power to you!
I haven't seen one of those quarters yet, and i see stuff like that all day long. Nice looking coin(s).

 

Why not put a piece of double-sided sandpaper in your pocket with the Morgan?

 

My Wife's Grandfather and Father in succession, who were both in the Norwegian merchant navy both carried this coin around the World's waterways and Ports, both of them coin collectors. I too carry on the tradition, soon it wont be anything but a blank two sided hunk of metal.

I’ve always thought the same. Somehow I e managed to hang onto the Morgan for a couple of years though.

 

Not enough room. Other than the coins I already have too much crap in my pocket.

 

I carried a silver dollar on a key fob for a long time, but somehow it fell off and got lost God knows where and I replaced it. I carry the new one only about half the time and then the other half the time have a Russian peace medal on my key fob.

This is the coin that started me on a lifetime obsession when in 1962 I found it while playing in a park. It was in much better shape then. I carried it as a pocket piece (good luck piece) every day for the next half century retiring it on its 50 birthday with me.

Here's the Buffalo,found it in a roll today and its going in my pocket 24/7 give it a few more years.

 

This one lives on my keychain. Bought it at a coin show for $1, including the chain loop.



I sometimes carry this one in my pocket as well.

Here’s an update after about a year and a half.


Side note:
I recently ”upgraded” from an iPhone 6s+ to a 13 pro max and I have to say the camera on the 13 is absolute dog s**t.
The photo of the coin in its original condition was taken with the 6 and the newest photos the 13.

 

Not a pocket piece but a necklace piece.

 

The iphone 13 is known for being one of the best phone cameras ever. So it doesn't make sense that it is "dog s**t"...

And the second picture looks just fine. What makes you say it's so bad?
