Value of 1924 saint gaudens in AU50?

    Just curious as to what the value is. I know the 1924 is a very common date, but I don't specialize in gold coins

    you could probably get 1300ish for it. st gaudens will always sell for more than spot.

    The price I mentioned is retail for a St. Gaudens.

    thats below retail. it is not bullion. its a premium gold coin in which the date/mintage is unimportant towards value.

    im not saying i would spend 1300 but he would get 1300 from someone.

    Redbook prices are retail and thats where I got the price from.

    He could get a little more, maybe $1300, but nothing under $1100.
