Vince, I would love to contribute to your State Quarter collection. (I'm probably gonna send you a few wheat cents as well, because they are my true love and I like showing them to new collectors.)

That said, I also have really wanted a set of the coins that form the shield... so this would work out perfectly!

Please send me a Private Message with your address and I will send out some coins!

Hi Vince, have mailed you an Idaho state quarter and added a 2009 Lincoln "Birthplace" cent as well. I'd like to see what the coins that form the shield look like, sound really interesting.

Vince I am game as well to just swap out some statehood quarters for some random English coins. I have probably 10 full sets worth of all (circulated) floating around in my safe from when I was grabbing quarter rolls one after another trying to put together some sets. Its no biggy for any of us here in the U.S. to get you your set together. We all love coins the same as you.

P.M. If there are some that you need and want to swap any general Brit coins for.

    Sincerely,

    Richard

I can probably fill out your collection with whatever statehood quarters you are missing after you receive these from others. Let me know, as I would love to make an exchange with you for the shield you speak of.

I'm getting together a few Shield sets for those that have asked for them.

This has been a really pleasant experience for me. I never thought that just mentioning a coin I found would trigger so many people eager to help me complete my collection.

I have so many people offering to help that I'm sure I'll complete my collection of State Quarters easily now. I might even be able to complete a set from each of the two mints.

I have had so many offers that I'm getting very confused as to what I am receiving and from whom, I also need to check that I've replied to everybody who has so kindly offered me coins and I will make sure that everybody receives something in return.

If I can do this graciously and without offence I'd like to ask that I receive no more new offers for the time being, the offers that I already have should keep me going for a while.

    Thank you all very much!!

I've just received my first 10 coins through the post.

If anybody is still awaiting a reply from me please PM. I'm inundated with PMs offering me coins and I've lost track of who I've answered.

I'm very grateful for every offer that I've received and I certainly would want to appear rude by not replying.

Congrats! Check the quarters for mintmarks, I think most of the ones I sent you are Philly, P.

Firstly I'd like to correct my post above:

"I certainly would not want to appear rude" - Oops!

Secondly I'd like tell you all that my statehood quarter collection is complete. HarryJ has very generously sent me the whole set in a presentation folder.

Thank you all very much for your generosity and kindness in helping me with my collection.

    Hi Vince,

My Royal Shield of Arms coins arrived today, and I have to say I was taken back by how beautiful these coins are in hand.

Congrats on getting the entire U.S. Statehood Quarter collection completed. You completed the collection in 2 weeks what took the rest of us 10+ years

Just goes to show the level of camaraderie in the coin world...and all this started as a simple exchange of a couple coins...

Thanks again Vince, the coins you sent will be framed and hung in my den for all to see.

See you around the cointalk forum!

Last year, Vince stated he would send me the set of coins (Royal Shield) you see above in this thread. Vince follows through on his word!

About two weeks ago I received the set and I must say they are so beautiful! What a unique set and I'm proud to have them. Vince appologized for taking so long, but he followed through.

THANKS Vince.....they arrived safe and sound.

I'd love to Mount them somehow.....anyone have ideas on how to do this?
