I’ve been going through a box, slowly, but I am making headway. I just found 5 Peace Dollars marked Junk Silver $12.50 each. One of them was a common date and two were harder dates to find and then there was these. Not one but two of them.

They are both 1934-S Peace Dollars. With only 1,011,000 minted they are a semi-key date. The only Peace Dollars that are more difficult are a 1921,1928 and the 1935-D Doubled Die obverse.

Sometimes I wonder if some dealers are just stupid, or they put stuff like that in the junk box on purpose as a goodwill gesture.

Thanks all. I’ve had them for 25 years at least. That’s why they only cost me $12.50 each. Today they’re worth at least $75.00 a piece so am I complaining.

You know CN, I've often wondered, with all the awesome things you keep 'finding', are you finding them before someone 'lost' them? ;)

I'd love to find just one of the coins that you keep finding boxes of!!

Kudos to you on having great vision 25, 30, 35 years ago. You sure as hell knew how to pick'em.

I keep offering to drive up and help him unpack. To date he has yet to accept my offer.
