Hello everybody, I have this one in my collection and I wonder if it can match the Variety WRPM-005. The first photo is from the CONECA website and the other is from my coin. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks. Walter Image from CONECA Site for WRPM-005 Variety Image of my coin
Thank you @Paddy54. Looking again at the Variety Vista website I noticed the similarity with RPM-004.
But to be perfectly honest thats a my best guess...if I had the coin in hand I know I could nail it..from all the images its at best a guess. But still a nice find...I love Buffalos. If Ron Pope was still with us I text him as Ron was Mr. Buffalo himself...as well a very good friend. I miss Ron he was a good guy and one hella cherry picker!
I know Paddy, and I understand it was a guess, and I understand it's possibly a "non-variety "coin, but I'm always optimistic and I hope this one can be one of them. Sorry about your friend. I didn't know him, but from what you've said it sounds like he was a great person and an excellent numismatist.
So, thank you very much for your expertise. I edited the previous message to express my feeling towards your friend.
@Wal888 Anytime my friend...feel free to pm me...if IDK the answer we will find it together. Have a wonderful evening.
Thats not a very easy one, I lean more towards the 008 if it is one. There is a tilt on 004 that your d doesn't show. Good luck on it, RPM's are fun to find.
Wow!!! What an Eagle Eyes @Pickin and Grinnin. I had to take more closely photos to see what you saw at naked eyes. These new photos (first the one from Variety Vista RPM-008 and the other the one from my coin) really can match.
BTW, @Paddy54 and You @Pickin and Grinin are awesome in error coins analysing. Great Job. Thank you very much.
Pickin is a good picker... and yes looks as he is correct... in hand and from an image are two different things...the full view is a better photo than the close up.
Hey, Wal, years ago when I just joined the forum and found out how much of a rookie I was. I posted a 38D Buffalo GTG. Paddy was immediate to point out that it was an unattributed OMM D/S. I have only gotten better since then.
