Help identifying possible French Colonial coin.

Any help trying to give a date, denomination and where exactly these are from would be great! Thanks!

Where do you get the French theme?

 

On the envelope they came in it is labeled from what it looks like as “French Colonial”. I was wondering if these are from Vietnam?

 

Annam (Vietnam), 1 phan. Inscription is Thuong Nguyen Thong Bao. This is listed in Toda in the "doubtful" section, post-1600. Here's a page showing (an inferior) specimen:

I have some Chinese coins, but I never tried to identify them. I bought in Lots with other coins and haven't touched them since.

 

Post one at a time in the World Coin forum. You’ll probably get some good answers.

 

I identified one some time ago, but the work was very hard, that's why I left the others there, forgotten.
The coin was identified as "CHINA CASH - HSUAN TSUNG AD 1821/1850 5-1512"
But, who knows... could be a good idea. I have 15 of them.

 

I have zero knowledge of oriental coins.
