If you separated the shields from the memorials first, you'd have fewer to weigh...?

…for the 2007-D Lincoln there are only 3 DDR varieties listed at Wexler:
001 has an extra arm…002 has extra thickness to the EPU with elongated dots…
003 has doubling along the left lower side of the 7th column.

About a year ago I found a new one, double diagonal bars to the right of the right arm of the statue (Lincoln’s left arm). I sent it to John so he could get his own pictures, confirm it and include it in his files. He confirmed it was a bonafide doubled die and sent me a letter saying so when he returned my coin. I believe he will eventually assign it as WDDR-004, but he has yet to update his files.

You can see my pictures by searching Coin Talk for “2007-D new Wexler DDR”.

But you would miss the opportunity to find a copper shield. It's possible. I'm sure the person who found a 1990 copper penny was shocked at the time. Just saying, you never know.
