This coin is 20mm in diameter. The date is 1951 under the big 3. In between the 3 and 1951 is a word that I can't read. The other side has a standing lion with a star over it. Undernieth is reads 91X1944 in the scroll (banner). Any info on where is from will help. Thanks!
Bulgaria. The writing on the reverse translates to "Narodna Republic of Bulgaria" or "People's Republic of Bulgaria".
i have some paper money with the same emblem on it 1 is a 50 the other is a 200 any idea how much they are worth
I'm confused... but if you're referring to the word 'stotinki' on the specimen, here's a Cyrillic / Latin phonetic sounding key for ya  С = S Т = T О = Ō (as in boat) Т = T И = EE (as in street) Н = N К = K И = EE
Thanks for the language lesson, but it's just what I thought the first time I saw it. I'll probably always think of it that way.
You're welcome. Just thought I'd post it in case other folks saw the post and attempted to read it in Cyrillic.
Interesting by the way that stotinka (or pl. stotinki) has pretty much the same meaning as the cent in the dollar and euro areas - "hundredth". Similarly, when Slovenia had the tolar currency, 1 tolar was 100 stotinov ... Christian
