Im bored and there is a jar full of my change. I wanted to search for something cool, I wonder if someone can explain the difference that a wide AM has. Not into modern coins really so is there anything else that i should be looking for?
    thanks

  6. When I am searching, I always have a proof reverse right in front of me to use as a point of reference. TC

Basically anything after 1992 that has a wide space between the "a" and the "m" in america, constitutes a wide am. Prior to 1992, it is the opposite. Also, the initials "FG" to the right of the reverse's memorial, are much closer on wide am's than are the normal post 1992 cents. (hope I didn't violate any numismatic jargon explaining that.)
