Well with a full 30 return policy and a bid under 100 I took the plunge and won... Not the morgan I was looking to upgrade but I kinda fell into "Lust" (not love) with this one. If it's half as nice as the pics I might marry it lol...
Again I have never heard of this company before but since I'm seeing them from many of the top end ebay coin dealers I took the chance... Damn but I think I did good this time :D

    Watcha think :D :D :D

The photo (especially the obverse) unfortunately implies that either the coin might have altered surfaces or (more likely) that the seller enhanced the photo to make it look way more proof-like than it actually is (and likely hid the bag marks).

my favorite is the "typo"... Designer: George T. Mason (instead of morgan) Doesn't give me too much faith in this basement dwelling grader, but oh the coin is a pretty and returnable if it turns out to be junk :D

as for 100 for the holder, there are a bunch of others by the same company coming up on ebay this weekend you can probably grab one cheaper if you really want the slab/folder thingie :D

I am out of touch Brother, I only search in hand, My eyes are on the coin when I buy it.
I haven't seen that plastic before.

It's a self slabbing job by the eBay seller (or someone the seller buys the coins from). There is little to no premium for it since it is fairly modern (I'm guessing the seller makes more as he sells out of his stock) and common.

So you think it's whizzed? or doctored photos?

Most likely enhanced photos but possibly altered surfaces/whizzed. There are several sellers on eBay that take every Morgan with even a little contrast and make the photo look like 12 inch dmpl mirrors (or close to it).

The obverse image is definitely enhanced and touched up. I'll bet in hand it's not nearly as frosty and probably baggy.

George T. Morgan designed the Morgan Dollar, so who is Mason? That alone would make me question everything else.

Maybe the seller was confused because it came from a "Mason Jar of Old Coins UNSEARCHED"?

Let me guess, "auctionkings" or "morgandealer" sold this? I've bought from both and never will again. They specialize in moving problem coins by juicing the images and getting the negative feedback left by the buyers wise enough to realize the scam, removed. They are a boiler room for coins and eBay continues to let them thrive.

I hope (and I am sincere) that you are happy with the coin that arrives. Both of mine were scrubbed and I mean scrubbed!

I decided to look it up and you guessed it right-auctionkings was the seller here.

Their pictures are so juiced that it falls into the category of “insanely ridiculous”. But they always have a ton of bidders at extremely high prices.

Hard pass. Auctionkings sells problem coins. Stay away from them.

They've been selling this dreck for many many months.

I put in some lowball bids and won one after a few weeks just to see. It's a plastic 'wallet' that holds a card and a flip - with foil embossing on the outside. Ordinary FPG.

I took it out of the wallet which went into the trash and threw the card in the recycle bucket.

Flip and coin are in my box of "miscellaneous cheap stuff that doesn't fit my collections", which I usually donate to the TNA youth auction each May/June.

This is what I received today... NOT the coin I won at auction different sig on coa, and GLUED to the card... Yes Glued... Well I've read him the riot act and told him I am returning the coin. I'm just waiting for him to say they are "Stock pictures" which is total BS but fine by me as long as i get my money back lol...
