Anyone know how to tell a fake Isabella from the real deal?

    welcome derek.

don't know of any surefire diagnostics that I can tell you about, but if you could post pics of the coin maybe some folks here could help out.

of course, if you want to be sure, you could send the coin to a third party grading company like PCGS or NGC and they will verify authenticity and the grade of the coin. But i strongly recommend posting pics here first as many here would be able to point out obvious fakes and save you the grading fees if that is the case.

    Welcome to the forum.

I have seen a number of counterfeits on Ebay - if there is one, in particular, which you want to know about, if you can post images, it might be helpful.

Fakes of this issue abound; most have a fat, mushy look to the details of the crown, and the embroidered headpiece and collar. If you could post pics, or a link to an auction, please do so. Buying these raw is rather risky, imo.
