    CARACALLA. 198-217 AD. AR Denarius (2.77 gm). Struck 208 AD. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate head right / VOTA SVSEPT-A XX, Caracalla standing right, sacrificing out of patera over tripod; to right, attendant stands left, holding staff; behind tripod, flute player stands facing. RIC IV 181; BMCRE 527; RSC 693. Good VF. Rare type.
