Its legal! The US Mint gift shop in Denver and Philadelphia have sold them in the past. (its run by a contractor). Cool that you have one of my hobo nickels!
Thats on the list! Thanks for reminding me! I have done a lot of classic type hobo nickels- but just a few with different designs. I have a lot of buffalo nickels to carve before the year is out but I am doing other designs and taking some engraving classes on dvd.
The classic type hobo nickels I only sell to coin dealers. The detailed coins where I smooth off a coin and do my own design I put those on ebay usually in five coin lots for an auction starting at 1 cent. I have not done many of those but I want to do more.
Not yet but soon! I have three days off next week and dour days off the week after that. I have a lot of classic type hobos to carve but I want to do more modern type coins. I have a prestige mint set that I cracked open. I want to replace them with coins I did and reseal it lol.
