Started last saturday after renting a movie, I noticed the guy gave me a dollar to much in change..so I went back in the store and told the guy and gave the dollar back (he was quite pleased and thankful). yesterday I got home and was walking the dog and I found 3 crisp 1 dollar bills...2 bad they werent old:kewl:. Today I go to the coin store and was looking at 63 proof and noticed 2 sets in there and so I told the dealer...he was like you shouldnt have said anything and I responded I cant do that, I wouldnt be honest. In return I got 5 1961/62 Nickel proofs..all are NICELY blue toned and full steps he said he wanted to give me 60/64 nickels though I think he must have been blind. He gave me 2 61s and 3 62s BUT I am not complaining! :hail: Man only if work could be this great!
I love stories like this. Congrats on doing the right thing and getting some nice coins. Would love to see pics of your toned Jeffs if you plan to post them. They have quite a following around here.
God is smiling upon you Shoewrecky.... The world is a better place because of people like you......:smile
Honesty is one of the highest human ideals, so far as I am concerned. What better way to show respect for another person? Many thanks and congratulations.
I absolutely will, try after work tonight. I tried yesterday but had bad lighting. This makes me feel that I want to try that much harder to do the right thing. It's the little things like this that makes it worth it even if it only happens every once in a while.
Sounds like karma to me too. Working in NYC I usually see the worst in people, you have single handily restored my faith in humanity. :kewl:
Glad your story came out so great. This is really not the norm you know. Glad everything is going your way. I suppose your going to enter that found money on your IRS forms.
