Warning, if you like your Commems flashy with big rolling luster (I like those too!), this coin is probably not for you. However, I found the look of this Sesqui Half (1926) attractive and complimentary to the subjects. With thick tone like this, guessing the grade is probably pointless-- it's MGC MS63. This should be a "post your crusty Commem" thread KS. I love coins with character. This one fits the bill. Not everything is blast white or ms-67. I too love the higher graded examples but there is much to be said and respected for the coins that didn't quite "make the grade". :thumb:
I wouldn't have any problem adding it to my collection. I think the Liberty Bell shows exceptionally nice.

I would say darker, original toning and original everything. Nice coins everyone. None of that blast white stuff here.
I'm enjoying looking at everyone's coins here; I think Lehigh's qualifies for having a little crust (ie, thick toning) close to the rims; what a beautiful 'skin' on that dollar! To me, 'crust' looks like something you could pick off with your fingernail. Sort of like a scab, LOL.
