New Addition - 1928-S Standing Liberty Quarter Inverted Mint Mark FS-501

Following up on my recent post and pictures of the entire never ending graded SLQ collection, we now have an upgrade at 1927-D. We have welcomed an NGC graded VF30 to take over that slot from our ICG F15 and, more importantly, we now have the 1928-S Inverted Mint Mark FS-501 to go with the regular 1928-S and FS-502 (though that is not in hand yet). I may have to get that gold Standing Liberty quarter too, but we'll see. The complete graded collection now numbers 41 coins (well one is a medal). Don't mind the dog hair (little white boxer mix girl makes her presence known).

Not at all sure what’s in them. The box I’m working on now dies have a 3 leg Buffalo and an 1876 Indian Head Cent, a Liberty Seated Dollar and about 15 slabs. I’ll get to them soon.

 

This is very impressive, and finding these certified these days is difficult. We were looking for some at the ANA and we’re not successful.

You almost didn't get that. I saw that on the bay. I bought these 2 coins from the same seller. Notice the similar cert numbers. I thought long and hard to buy that one.

Nice large cents, lol, I saw they were on the same lime green background - which made them extra tempting, right? Yes, I've had the FS-501 Standing Liberty Quarter search going for a while now - quite a relief to finally get it and on a decent Best Offer I thought, thank you much for not bidding / buying it!

 

Yes I collect some slq but that was getting variety specific. Not ready to go there with that series lol. And yes they were on the same bright background as yours. Also glad to see you were the one who got it!

 

Great set, my favorite of mine is a 1921 P that I got in junk silver, now graded by ANACS as a G-04.
